Advent By Candlelight is a time to enjoy fellowship with ladies around good food, good friends, and good entertainment. Men from the congregation serve as the women enjoy beautiful decorations and conversation and begin their advent season off with joy. Advent by Candlelight allows the women of the congregation and their guests to focus and orient themselves on the Jesus and the promises given in the Christmas story.
The women of Christ Our Savior are encouraged to host a table and invite their friends, family, and neighbors to hear the wonderful news of Christmas. As table host will welcome your guests into your 'home' as you decorate your table in the style that suits you. Setting your table as you would at your house invites your guests to feel comfortable and welcome in your church home. A table host also provides a dessert.
The evening will begin with appetizers served by the men of Christ Our Savior. We will enjoy music by the very entertaining Brothers Mogan, and then end our evening with dessert.
This year the women at Advent By Candlelight will support two missions as well. They will gather monetary donations to support MOST ministries and they will gather items such as AA or AAA batteries, bright colored sticky notes, or baby wipes, to support the Luke 52 project.
Advent By Candlelight will be on Monday, December 9 beginning at 6:00pm. For more information please contact Linda Hollman in the church office at 522-6830.
